Coronavirus (COVID-19)
The Mississippi State Board of Chiropractic Examiners is committed to protecting the public health throughout the course of the COVID-19 (Corona Virus) pandemic and to provide continued care to our patients in the safest environment possible. The Board of Chiropractic Examiners is closely monitoring the COVID-19 problem. We are working with the Mississippi State Board of Health and the CDC to keep up to date on the latest scientific evidence relation to this problem. We will be posting further information and recommendations based on new evidence.
At this time the best general guidance will come from the Mississippi State Department of Health and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
Comprehensive Mission Statement The Mississippi Board of Chiropractic Examiners was authorized by legislation to safeguard life, health, property, and the public welfare in Mississippi in order to protect its people against unauthorized, unqualified, and improper applications of chiropractic by regulating the practice of chiropractic.
Philosophy
The Board accomplishes these goals by examining education and training credentials, administering examinations for competency to practice, requiring continuing professional education, investigating practice complaints and providing penalties for violations of practice standards or ethical principles.
The philosophy of the Board is to adhere to the highest professional standards, to provide public protection and to oversee the Chiropractic profession.
